MEMORIAL PARK MASTER PLAN – DRAFT PLAN OPEN HOUSE OUTCOMES
The Village facilitated open houses at the Pavilion in Veteran’s Memorial Park on May 31 and June 4, 2023. The sessions began with opening remarks from Mayor Newhard and Trustee Carly Foster, including the history of the development of the draft plan and those who have participated to date, as well as ways the landscape architect, Karen Arent, was able to receive feedback from the broader community. Participants then witnessed an explanation of the difference between the current park and elements in the draft plan, funding mechanisms, and timing implications. Participants then shared their feedback on the plan verbally, through sticky notes, and through the feedback form, for those preferring to use an online mechanism.
