FAQs – Veteran’s Memorial Park DRAFT Master Plan and Open House

  • I didn’t know an open house occurred. How was it promoted?
    • The Village promoted the open houses through social media, HelloWarwickValley.com, the Warwick Advertiser, through fliers around town, through word of mouth, as well as through requests to local organizations to email their participants. We are always looking for ways to improve our outreach! If you have feedback on how we can improve, please let us know through the Village’s Virtual Suggestion Box: https://villageofwarwick.org/virtual-suggestion-form/
  • Where can I view the draft open house?
  • How can I provide feedback on the draft plan?
  • Is the plan approved?
    • Not yet! We will integrate comments from the community, post the final plan, and then bring it to the Board for final approval. We expect to approve the plan this summer (2023).
  • How will it be funded?
    • The plan will need to be funded through a mix of Village labor and capital budget, partnerships, and grants. For more on this, please see the DRAFT phasing plan in the gallery from the plan open house.
  • How will it be maintained?
    • The Village and volunteers will maintain the park
  • What is the timing for the plan’s implementation?
    • The plan will be implemented over time, with various improvements expected year over year.  For more on this, please see the DRAFT phasing plan in the gallery from the plan open house.
  • What will be the environmental impact?
