RELOCATION OF THE MAPLE AVENUE WATER BOOSTER STATION
Sealed, separate Bids for the construction of the Relocation of Maple Avenue Water Booster Station project will be received by Village of Warwick at Village Hall located at 77 Main Street, Warwick, New York 10990, until 2:00 p.m. local time on November 7, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project consists of the relocation of an existing water booster station located at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Colonial Avenue with a new pre-fabricated booster station on Grand Street. The new booster station will be connected to the existing 6-inch water main piping on Grand Street. Additionally included is the installation of new gate valves, water main and water service. A new pressure reducing valve and precast vault will be installed on Maple Avenue. At all sites, restoration and site improvements (grading, fencing, etc.) are to be included. Bids will be received for two (2) prime contracts. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.
Separate Bids will be received for the following schedules of Work:
Contract No. 1A – General Construction.
Construction of a new pre-fabricated Package Water Booster Station, including a pressure reducing valve and concrete vault, and associated piping, valving, controls integration, and start up.
Contract No. 1B – Electrical Construction.
Installation of a new 200A, 480/277V 3-Phase electrical service which shall include both meter and service disconnect switches as well as a meter socket. Electrical Contractor is responsible for final service termination on the pre-installed auto transfer switch inside the building. The setup of the internals of the Package Water Booster Station is included in the General Construction bid. Electrical Contractor is also responsible for the installation of a lightning protection system and associated grounding.
Bidders, at their option, may submit a separate and independent Bid for any or all of the separate schedules of work contemplated under this Advertisement for which they are properly licensed to perform. All segments will be awarded separately, per the divisions of Work as described herein. Bid alternates may be included, as deemed in the Owner’s best interest.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., 10 Airline Drive, Suite 200, Albany, New York, 12205-1025.
Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered online by registering with the Issuing Office at https://bl.biddyhq.com. Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the Issuing Office’s website as “zipped” portable document format (PDF) files. The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.
Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders.
The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents.
In order to perform public work, the Successful Bidder and Subcontractors prior to contract award shall hold or obtain such license as required by State statutes, and Federal and local Laws and Regulations.
Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b.
Purchases made by Village of Warwick are not subject to any Federal, State, or local sales tax. Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials. Exemption certificates will be executed upon request.
