Forms
If you have a grievance regarding your Village Taxes, you may submit a tax grievance form.
A complaint on real property must be received in the Village Clerk’s Office prior to Tax Grievance Day.
Requesting a Change of Mailing Address for the Assessor and Tax Receiver
If you need to update the mailing address on file for your property, you must submit a Request to Amend the Mailing Address.
Requirements for Address Change Requests:
- Who Can Submit: Only the property owner may request an address change.
- Submission Method: Requests must be made in writing and signed by the property owner.

Senior Citizens Partial Tax Exemption
- Purpose: For seniors applying for the partial tax exemption for the first time.
- Requirements: Applicants must meet age and income eligibility criteria.
- What You Need: Submit proof of age, income documentation, and ownership of the property.
Senior Citizens Partial Tax Exemption Renewal
- Purpose: For seniors who already receive the exemption and need to renew it annually.
- Requirements: Renewal is required every year to confirm continued eligibility.
- What You Need: Provide updated income documentation and any other requested forms.
Alternative Veterans Exemption from Real Property Taxation
- Purpose: For veterans applying for a property tax exemption for the first time.
- Requirements: Applicants must have served in the military during a designated time of war or received an expeditionary medal, and meet other eligibility criteria.
- What You Need: Submit proof of military service (e.g., DD-214), discharge status, and any additional required documentation.
Renewal Application for Alternative Veterans Exemption
- Purpose: For veterans who already receive the exemption and have experienced a change in service-connected disability compensation rating.
- Requirements: Applicants must provide updated information reflecting their new disability compensation rating.
- What You Need: Submit documentation of the updated disability rating and any additional required forms.
Application for Volunteer Firefighters/Ambulance Workers Exemption
- Purpose: For volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers applying for a property tax exemption for the first time.
