Job Opening: Summer Engineer Intern
The Village of Warwick is seeking a Summer Engineering Intern with at least one year of college specializing in engineering, science, or computers. Engineering Intern Qualifications
Ability to work independently to a great degree and exercise judgment in conducting work activities. Must be organized and detail oriented.
Ability to understand and work in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
Ability to understand and work in ESRI ArcGIS software and ArcMap and perform software program updates.
Ability to understand and operate Trimble GeoExplorer-Geo 7 series handheld instrument for data collection and GPS Pathfinder Office and perform program updates.
Ability to understand and work in CAMP-RS software including performing street condition assessment
Perform field work that will require the ability to walk long distances for an extended period of the workday.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. May interface with Village Engineers and Architects, as needed.
Intern may also be assigned to activities with DPW or Water Department.
Must have clean driving record and valid Class 5 license to drive Village pick-up truck while on duty.
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Will also be subject to additional testing during employment.
Must comply with all policy and safety requirements of the Village, and any other regulatory agencies. Will be required to wear Village provided Personal Protective Equipment and ID at all times.
