From the Mayor’s Office: A Rainy Day

October 24, 2022

There is nothing better than a rainy day to stop and reflect. It has been a splendid Fall! In many ways it has seemed more dramatic, more beautiful than ever. The rain of course is welcome and much needed.

What marks this year has been the return of activities and events that were dormant during the pandemic. It has been reassuring that life resumes, that we find our cadence and balance. In part the events play an important role in our wellbeing. They mark our calendar, define the season, give reason and ability to socialize. The past weekends have been filled with festivals and thousands of visitors to our Valley. There is still more to come but many of these events are truly local, and their simplicity and spirit are soul satisfying.
