FROM THE MAYORS OFFICE: National Night Out

Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 2, 2022 for National Night Out which is a community event that focuses on a positive connection with our Police Department.

“National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It provides a great opportunity to bring our Police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. The best way to build a safer community is to know your neighbors and your surroundings. National Night Out triumphs over a culture that isolates us from each other and allows us to rediscover our communities and its resources. This is an event we will look forward to each year. Parents and their children have the opportunity to see squad cars, various emergency response vehicles and learn a wide variety of safety topics and partake in numerous interactive, family friendly activities…Positive interactions with our residents are invaluable and hold the key to building lasting community relationships.”

Here are the important details: The event will be at Veteran’s Memorial Park, 18 Memorial Park Drive, Warwick from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm. This is a family event and will include activities such as Touch a Truck, Games, Live Music, Face Painting, Prizes, Food. The event is open to the public and is free.

National Night Out is a collaborative effort of the Warwick Police Department and Warwick Valley Prevention Coalition with the support of the Town and Village of Warwick.
