Masks Required at Stanley-Deming Park

We have recently received complaints about the lack of adherence to wearing masks in public.

The Stanley-Deming Playground is a community built space that is enjoyed and loved by all.

In the same spirit of community, we are working together to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and are strictly adhering to the policy of mandatory mask wearing.

While at the park, if you or your child is unable to remain 6’ apart from others, then masks must be worn in accordance with Executive Order No. 202.17:

‘Any individual who is over age two and able to medically tolerate a face-covering shall be required to cover their nose and mouth with a mask or cloth face-covering when in a public place and unable to maintain, or when not maintaining, social distance’.

If there are health issues that prevent you or your child from wearing a mask, we request that you isolate your play activity to times of the day when there are fewer park attendees.

This is a global health issue that must be responded to with individual and community commitment.

Thank you for your support.

Very truly yours,
Michael J. Newhard
