Phased Reopening Plan Update 05.14.20

Press Release
Opening Warwick – Opening Orange County

 May 14, 2020

As part of Governor Cuomo’s regional phased reopening plan, Orange County is part of the Mid-Hudson Region and presently does not meet the criteria to begin phase one on May 15th.

At this time, only the North County, Finger Lakes, Southern Tier and Mohawk Valley Regions have met all seven metrics required to begin phase one of the state’s regional phased reopening plan when NYS on PAUSE orders expire on May 15th. The Mid-Hudson region, which includes Orange County, has only met five of the seven required metrics.

To review Governor Cuomo’s guide to the state’s “NY Forward Reopening” Plan, explanation of phases one through four, along with the state’s regional monitoring dashboard please go to https://forward.ny.gov/regional-monitoring-dashboard.

Please continue to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and wear a face mask or face covering in public when social distancing (staying at least 6 feet apart) is not possible unless a face covering is not medically tolerated. This includes on public transport, in stores and on crowded sidewalks etc.
