Introducing Jude Roche
Village of Warwick Poet Laureate

I grew up in Syracuse, NY. When I was 12, my father gave me a diary.

I'm 93. I've been writing ever since.

In my marketing career, I've written in most mediums - print, radio, TV and film. When I retired in 1988, my husband and I moved to Warwick. We had raised three daughters and a son, all of whom are performing artists. Here, I originated and still maintain The Roches Fan Club at 10990. I was widowed in 1995. I've since published four books, most recently a non-fiction memoir, entitled Catechism of a Disconnected Catholic. Split Ends is a collection of short stories. Words and Invisible Ink are verse and vignettes. In progress is a volume of poems, entitled Soliloquy.

I've been a Volunteer at the Albert Wisner Public Library and at Saint Anthony's Community Hospital; a Lector at Saint Stephen's RC Church and an Alto with the Warwick Valley Chorale.

I am humbled and honored to be Warwick's 2016 Poet Laureate.
